Welcome to all my old and new readers.
Some of you may already be familiar with my old (and pretty ugly looking) blog. I have now migrated all the material over to this new and snazzier site and will in turn delete the Blogger account in due time. So make sure to update your browser and RSS feeds.
I am a native German tutor based in Cork, Ireland. Over the last couple of years I have provided Evening Classes for the Carrigaline Community School where I also occasionally work as a substitute teacher.
I also teach students of all levels (A1-C2) privately one-on-one or in small group sessions, provide exam and essay help for UCC students or help your child to pass the Junior or Leaving Cert. General conversation classes available as well as assistance with Business German all in the comfort of your own homes in or around Cork City.
On this website I would like to provide tips and tricks about how best to learn the German language. So check back regularly and contact me if there are particular areas you would like me to focus on.
Please also visit my FACEBOOK page where I am regularly posting shorter tips, tricks and interesting links.
If there are any particular areas you would like me to cover, please just let me know.

Well done on a great blog. I came across it while looking for a german grinds teacher for my sons. However, we live in Dublin not Cork so unfortunately can’t avail of your classes. But if you know of any good grinds teachers in Dublin would love to hear about them.
I speak german myself, having lived in Hamburg for 3 years and I was interested to read your false friends and how easily you make learning german. It is so important to get the basics right! Sadly my sons don’t want me tutoring them but they are struggling to get to grips with German, which when well taught is not so difficult and very enjoyable. Once you learn a language you have it forever so it is well worth the effort!
Thank you very much for your kind comments. They reminded me that I need to get a move on with the False Friends project that has totally fallen by the wayside as I am currently busier than ever. Pity you’re not based in Cork. Would love to helped you and your sons along. Good luck and enjoy the studies!
